About Me!
-Cheyenne Comerford
It all started when I started riding when I was 7 and then got my first horse from a rescue when I was 12. I trained her myself, getting lessons as often as I could, and watching training videos on YouTube nonstop. Fast forward a few years and I then began showing with Katona Reining Horses and rode with them through my youth years. In 2015, my horse Rosy and I qualified for the affiliate finals in OKC and won reserve champion for the Youth 14-18 for the Michigan Reining Horse Association. Unfortunately, 2015 was the last year that I was able to show Rosy because of an old injury causing some lameness issues so she gets to enjoy the life of a trail horse these days. I am currently an assistant trainer at Big Lake Farm in Davisburg, MI where we work with all kinds of horses, especially mustangs. I currently have a 4yo ranch prospect that I will be showing when she is ready (she got a late start because of an injury and has had to deal with a couple other as well- she needs to be bubble wrapped).
Between my 4 year old that has been injured multiple times and Rosy’s mystery intermittent lameness, I started researching a bunch of different therapies and landed on the BEMER as my first investment. I was amazed with the results I was seeing on both my own and clients horses! Then, after getting Oakley and knowing she had had a previous injury and then with her injuring herself a week after I got her - I really got into researching all different kinds of therapies that could help me get her healed and back to riding. I then added cryotherapy, kinesiology taping, and massage and have seen great results with both horses and I love being able to help other horses feel their best!
